Bowen Children’s Clinic

The first session is on Friday 3rd November, drop-in between 1p.m and 3p.m.
Then fortnightly at the same time on Fridays.

The Bowen Technique is a hands-on therapy where the therapist makes precise gentle rolling movements over soft tissue, stimulating the nervous system to promote healing and aid pain relief.

Bowen has been reported to help with the symptoms of many childhood ailments, but can offer many benefits to all children. The technique can result in better concentration, improved behaviour, make children more relaxed and improve sleep patterns.

Sessions only last between 15 and 20 minutes, are conducted in the presence of a parent/guardian on a couch, chair or parent’s knee. Children remain fully clothed and there is no pressure for a child to remain still or quiet, making the experience a relaxing one for both the child and accompanying adult.

What makes the Bowen Technique particularly interesting is that it has been shown to have a dramatic effects on children suffering a variety of developmental and behavioural disorders, ranging from Cerebral Palsy to all aspects of the Autistic Spectrum.

The Bowen Children’s Clinics will be offered in partnership with Home-Start Wirral, and will take place on the first and third Friday of each month between 1pm and 3pm.
