Parents, SEND & learning

Children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) all have learning difficulties or disabilities that make it harder for them to learn than most children of the same age.

This can affect their behaviour or ability to socialise, reading and writing, ability to understand, concentration levels or physical ability.

A child can be eligible for SEN support at school, and where there are more complex needs, an education, health and care (EHC) plan sets out the additional support to meet those needs.

Parents are children’s first and most important educators, this course is about giving them the confidence to support a child with additional needs on this challenging journey.
